Jimmy and I have a precious, little grandson...and LOOK at the day he was born!
March 13th - My daddy's birthday! March 13th - Caleb's birthday!
~The Story of my Prayer~
Today, March 13th, my dear daddy would have been 92 years old.
He has been with his Savior for 11 years. Mother and Daddy only had two
daughters, so when Nathan was born, he was the first boy to join the family and
ended up being the only grandson. Oh, my, Daddy loved Nathan!!
Last July when we
learned that Nathan and Katie were expecting a baby in March, we were thrilled!
I began asking the Lord if it was His perfect will, could this baby would be a
boy and could he could be born on Daddy's birthday. In November we learned
this little one indeed was a boy.
When Nathan texted this morning at 4:45
a.m. to tell us that Katie was in labor, I burst into tears. I knew God was
having this baby boy be born today...on Daddy's birthday!! Thank you, Lord! I
am overwhelmed with the gift of a healthy grandson sharing a birthday with his Great-Granddaddy Mitchell!

It has been two weeks since Caleb’s birth. Jimmy and I traveled
to Michigan to meet this precious one when he was a week old. Chiree was in
Texas doing a Revive Our Hearts job for Nathan, so she flew in two days later
and the three of us spent a week getting to know Caleb and helping Katie and
Nathan. Such wonderful memories we made…Love this little baby so much!!
